Poorly 7 month old - need doctor?

My son has been a bit under the weather for a few weeks (has had thrush and a bit of a cold) but since yesterday morning has been really unwell.

He is not his usual smiling self and has only been having about 3-4 oz feed each time (he is ff and normally has 7oz five times a day). Yesterday evening and night was the worst - crying inconsolably (even in the bath which he normally loves). He was up almost every hour just crying even after a dose of Calpol. He has also been sick few times and not possetting but from the tummy proper sick which he has never done before. I have take his temperature but we only have a forehead thermometer which shows he has a low fever 38 degrees - this is coupled with blocked nose and cough.

Would you take him to the doctor? I don't want to waste their time if its just a cold.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I would get him checked, in past experience ear infections were cause of my sons illness as a baby.

Poor you, and poor DS. Is he teething do you think? Could be that coupled with a rubbish cold and he's feeling miserable.

However, being sick is a little out of odds with a cold/teething so I would take him to the docs for a check. Please don't worry about wasting their time. When it ones to babies/children, they much prefer to see them then have you worrying.

Hope he gets better soon. X

Play the baby card. Seriously. They can always find 10 mins if they have too. Good luck!
