Recurring thrush in 3yo dd

DD regularly gets thrush. Tonight she is bright red around her vagina & it smells. She is also crying when she wees. I have some canesten prescribed by the doctor for her so have applied that which should hopefully ease the discomfort. Any ideas why she gets it so regularly? She only wears cotton knickers & doesn't have bubble bath. Thanks!

Are your doctors sure it is thrush? Did they take a swab to confirm?

Yes, they have taken a swab in the past. I've not been back for the last couple of occurrences though. What else could it be?

Lichen Sclerosus can cause redness and soreness. Some cases of LS are misdiagnosed as thrush. But if swab confirmed thrush then mostly it is thrush.
