DS2 has been vomiting since Saturday. Not often but when he does it's a lot (pretty much anything he's had since he was last sick). He's also had diarrhoea.

Spoke to dr yesterday who gave me advice and said if he's still unwell today to take him in. He's still unwell but at the mo I can't get an appointment. Have to ring again at 1. The other alternative is to go and wait but when I rang a little while ago the wait was 2.5hrs!

He's fine in himself, having wet nappies (although less wet than normal) and playing happily. He's breastfed so am feeding on demand. Just worried about how long this is going on for now. DS1 (9yo) was sick last night but is much better today.

Am I right to be concerned about the length of time this is going on for given that he's happy in himself? Or am I overreacting?

if he is fine in himself i would be inclined to just carry on with bfeeding. but do watch out for any sign of dehydration etc as little ones can get poorly quickly.

what has he been having to eat? maybe just bfeed for 24hrs to let his tummy recover?

He had bm for 24hrs from Sunday morning. Dr said it's ok to give him food if he wants as long as it's bland. So he's had odd bits of bread, biscuit and breadsticks but tbh he isn't really interested.

I know what to look out for in terms of dehydration. Tbh I'd rather not take him out in the cold and rain to the drs unless we have to. Just worried about how long he's had this. Is this normal?
