22 months. He is recovering from Hand Foot and Mouth. Changing his nappy just now I found his willy is red, swollen and there seems to be pus there too.
I need to go to the doc, right? It's separate to the Hand Foot and Mouth and will need antibiotics/cream?

my son had this frequently as a baby and child. yes, get to the doc and get some antibiotic cream.

Yep ds had this too. Balinitis (sp?) or some such. Cream and antibiotics from drs. It cleared up a treat.

ok thanks

Do you think it's ok to wait til tomorrow if I can't get an appt today? You normally have to ring at 8am to get same day appointment here, so I'm not hopeful.
But then A&E seems a bit extreme

Me2Me2 · 31/10/2013 14:14

Before even ready your post I knew he would be around 2!!!! Lost count the amount of times my boys had infections there as they are ALWAYS playing with itGrin

I wouldn't wait. A nurse prescriber at a walk in centre could deal with this if you can't get in at the GP.

Good!
hope his bits clear up soon!

Ds had this as a baby and it was thrush. The discharge was greenish and very pus-like ( dentist here so expert in pus) but it cleared up very quickly with anti-fungal cream. It did cause mild panic attack when I first saw it though.
