hi i am on my own with baby and nowhere near family - or friends, it seems! - and keep getting run down so am TERRIFIED of getting flu this winter in case i can't care for DD to the standard i want to. i was thinking of getting the flu jab from a chemist as i don't fall into the category of getting it on the nhs down here. a chemist just told me she wouldn't do it as i was breastfeeding. everything points to it being safe online. any ideas? i can try another chemist but wanted to know if anyone has had it and breastfed?? also, has anyone given it to a baby - is it the nasal spray? dd is 20 months old x

I had mine last week and I'm breastfeeding. How odd that the chemist wouldn't do it, maybe try another one?

I had mine last week and I'm breast feeding as well. The info leaflet said its fine. Def try another chemist (or Asda if one is near).
