Ds is 6 and vaccinated due to asthma and because he had swine flu and consequent pneumonia in the past.

Dd is 3 and getting vaccinated in a month.

The nurse contradicted everything I've read and said that because its a live vaccine ds could give dd flu???? Am panicking now especially given that when ds had flu it was terrifying And dd is just getting over a chest infection.

Argh!

Mine had it last week and I questioned the nurse who got out all the paperwork on it to double check. I was concerned as my mum is immunosupressed and I wanted to be sure it wouldn't be of risk to her if she was in contact with my children. The info said the only people who should be kept away from those having had the flu nasal vaccine are very immuno suppressed people for example those on chemo. and it was only for 3/4 days anyway.
