DD has just has two in 13 hours - viral ear infection, temp spiked, boom. Two trips to casualty (out of hours and GP both wanted ambulance but we live near enough for it to be easier to go ourselves) and full workups.

She's fine if pissed off but ohgodohgod that is the scariest thing I have ever witnessed. Ever. My baby :(

Oh commander so sorry you have gone through this. My DS had 2 in 2 days and then another single incident about a month later.
I think the sight of him fitting will stay with me forever it was hideous.
Thankfully it isn't that serious and your DD will have no recollection, but I'm sending you hugs cos I know how horrible it is, hopefully you can get lots of cuddles in while she recovers! ThanksThanksThanks

How old is your dd? My dd had one when she was 1 and my god it was terrifying, I agree with you, I thought she was dying, cue ambulance trip and hospital stay for 5 days until the underlying virus was under control with antibiotics.

Am surprised you have been let home so soon, but expect you are closely monitoring her and her temp.

We warned that once a dc has had a FC, they are more likely to have others up to the age of around 5 I think (though thankfully my dd has never had a repeat). Hope your dd gets better soon x

She's 17mo. I have a long and glorious history of them myself and the doctors visibly relaxed when I told them about mine. I can't fault them; they were great. We're keeping a close eye on her and plenty of calpol while she fights the virus. Thanks everyone for the hugs :)
