How do you go about getting a hearing test for a 10yo?

I'm not sure if ds1 just doesn't want to hear when I call him or if he can't.

Is there a way to get him a quick hearing test without going through the GP-referral route?

I don't mind paying up to a limit - it's more to rule it out so I can concentrate on his attitude

Round these parts Specsavers do hearing tests. Not sure if that's a national thing, or if they do children, but might be worth a look
