I think dd might have thrush. She's been complaining of "bits funny" and having a good old rummage about. I've had a look and she looks a bit red.

What can I do? Confused
Can I get something from the chemist for her, rather than leaving her to wait till we play GP roulette with getting a dr appointment on Monday.

Do you have triage nurses or nurse practitioners at your practice? It might be easier getting an appointment with the nurses. Having said that I think I would give 111 a call as a weekend is a long time for her to be sore. I'm sure you need a prescription for canestan is under 16.

I think Sudocrem might do the trick. If it is thrush, it will be cooling and soothing and if it's bacterial it will knock it on the head.

Penny - I don't really know how our GP works - yu play roulette to get through when they open at 8. Then the GO calls you back (if you haven't already keeled over) and either diagnose over the phone (!) or give you an 'emergency' appointment. Hmm

I've put bepanthen on for now as that was good for nappy rash when she was a baby in nappies.

Oneither - I've probably got some sudocreme somewhere.

Do you think the chemist/ pharmacist could advise tomorrow? Confused
