Toothache in almost 11 year old

DD is complaining of on and off toothache in upper molars. I was wondering if it is normal to get pain if baby teeth are coming out and new adult ones coming thro. It is mainly after she eats.

Options are: food trapping between teeth,
a cavity (hole)
her second adult molar is erupting.
my guess its food trapping, try flossing where its sore to see if the pain subsides, if not she'll need an assessment with her dentist.
