My 8yo has been prescribed Otrivine today by the GP for eustacion (sp?) tube dysfunction (?? - sounds like one of those obvious things that they give a name to make it sound more medical).
I was all set to give him the drops, til my Mum said - isn't that the drug that got really bad press recently for raising blood pressure and causing strokes.
So MN - to give, or to just carry on being congested?

is it the drops for children? I dont recall otrivine being implicated in strokes recently.

www.netdoctor.co.uk/childrens-health/medicines/otrivine-child-nasal-drops.html - doesnt mention the side effects your mum mentioned
