What's the best hand soap and shower gel for the kid?

I'm looking for advise on what's the best hand soap for a kid. There are so many products out there: gentle, organic, antibacterial? Any tips on what to pay attention to when choosing if I want to keep my kid healthy, plus it's also so hard to get him wash hands all together. How do you get your kids wash hands regularly?

my 2 just use normal hand soap that everyone else uses (they dont have a special kids one) - I tend to get an anti-bacterial one. They also just use the shower gels that me and dh use and dont have a kids one for that either.

Thanks for the post, that's what I do as well- using regular soaps, but then there are do many articles about gentle baby's skin etc, sometimes my little one gets spots as well, do was wondering if soap had a role in it. Any particular reason for using antibacterial?

Antibacterial isn't necessary - soap and warm water with decent technique physically washes away bacteria. I often do buy antibacterial though - whatever is on offer but I find that bar soaps and normal handwashes dry my hands out less than antibac ones do.

My DCs have never minded washing their hands, they do forget sometimes but just out of absentminded-ness.

I get mine to wash hands at home, but when they are out and about, you never know... It's a hassle for them afterwards, I wonder if I could make hand washing something they are looking for, any tips?
