My DS2 is 6. He has lost no baby teeth and no wobblers yet either. A few months ago I noticed his two front bottom adult teeth coming thru several mm behind his baby teeth. I really panicked and rushed to dentist who laughed, said its not uncommon and he is sure they will fall out soon and adult teeth will move to correct position. We are due to go back in January for normal check up. Does anyone have experience of this? How long before baby teeth fell out and did the adult teeth move as dentist suggests? I'm still worried and have visions of operations and years of expensive orthodontist visits!! DS1 had lost lots of teeth from age of 5.

My dd is just 7 and has two adult teeth at the front at the bottom, just like your Ds. These came through about 2 months before anything got wobbly, and she has now lost one tooth and the other is due out any moment it's so wobbly. I've heard too that they will then move in to place, I'm not worried. All teenagers these days seem to have braces anyway, so any odd alignment can be sorted out then, but I don't think operations would be necessary. BTW, my Dd didn't have any teeth until way after she was one, so I think it's all happening later than most.

Thank you for the reassurance. I'm trying not to worry! It's been almost 3 months for DS2 and the adult teeth are quite far through now. He's not at all concerned at least and was really pleased when he found out they were called shark teeth ??

Both my DS's got their first teeth about 5 months so not late in that respect at all.

My eldest DS was the same. Didn't start losing teeth until he was 8, he's almost 11 now and still only lost 9 in total. Also had the "shark teeth" look for a while but the second teeth did move nicely into place eventually.
