My sister's little girl is 18 months old. 2 days ago she started dry retching but nothing came up and eventually my sister took her to the doctor who sent her straight to hospital. Since then she has been on a drip and has a tube up her nose taking everything out of her stomach. They tried to give her some water which just pooled in her stomach making it swollen and it had to be pumped out. She has had scans and x-rays and the doctors don't know what is wrong with her. They are considering operating on her but don't know where to start as they don't know what is wrong. They say they have never seen anything like it before.
Has anyone heard of or experienced anything similar? I am so so worried and I thought I might try and see if anyone here might have seen something like this themselves.
