Crutch handles?

DD1 is going to need to use crutches for the next week at least. She's already finding it painful on her hands.

Any ideas on what we could do to make it more comfortable for her?

Pipes insulation is a couple of pounds from b&q

Fit it over the handles and it cushions it

Microfibre cloths wrapped round are also good
