My 6 yr old DS has indigestion

I have only just realised what is going on. He has been complaining of a pain in his throat for a few days now but I only twigged when he rushed for a drink of water to try and make it go away.

I can't give him a rennie/gaviscon, it is for over 12s. I will take him to the doctor but is there anything I can give him in the meantime? I have propped him on pillows and given him some milk but he is still suffering.

I gave my 6 year old gaviscon the other day, it says 1 to 2 spoonfuls for under 12's doesn't it?

Yeah it says not recommended for under 6 but children 6 to 12 can have two to four spoonfuls after meals.

Sorry one to two, not two to four.

I have gaviscon advanced, perhaps it is different? I might do it anyway. Poor ds.

Ahh that's probably it. Don't worry I wasn't worried, DS was drinking gaviscon from birth because of reflux the poor little mite.

He'd been complaining of chest pains - took him to the doctor who couldn't find anything wrong with heart or breathing, embarrassingly it's taken until last week for me to click it's heartburn/indigestion he's suffering from.

Hope your DS feels better soon. Don't suppose you have any milk of magnesia? That can help.

I just went up to give him some gaviscon anyway and he is asleep
