Help - blood in 6 month DS's stool!

Hi, just changed DS' nappy and instead of the usual mustardy korma there was just a light brown nugget with red running through it.

Not weaning him yet (24 weeks) so can't be that, but he did start on infant Gaviscon 2 days ago.....

Anyone had this? Am ringing NHS direct as well for advice but would appreciate any input. Thanks Smile

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Was the blood within the stool or coating it?

DS was on gaviscon from 3 days old, and we found it could constipate him to the point where he would tear.

I would mention it to the GP, but wouldn't be panicking just yet

I think it's just on the outside.... I think it probably is constipation, he's really straining, bless him.
