presents for a sick 3 year old boy

Hi all.

My friend just told me that her little boy has leukemia. She said that it is curable but I have not asked for more details as I did not want to upset her, so I do not really know what the situation is. We live in different countries so I can't just hug them. I am thinking of sending him a gift box, as he has been hospitalised and will undergo 15 days of chemio.
I do not know what toys to buy, and would appreciate if you could let me know what your three year old likes, or alternatively what you think would brighten his day in hospital.

Thanks a lot.

Cars DVD, jig-saw puzzles, cars, maybe a cool PJ.

Maybe a magazine subscription like the cbeebies one it was the thing my little one loved the most when he was in for a long time.

sticker book, pens, a funny book, a few small hot wheels cars, socks/pants/pjs with his fav character on, mini play-doh tubs. Things to keep him busy when maybe he's not up to running around. Oh and every three year old loves a chocolate lolly Smile .

my ds is nearly three and this is what he would like.

I have a three year old boy and he currently loves Disney Planes and Cars (easily available in the supermarket). He loves anything Thomas. He loves hot wheels cars. He loves books about construction vehicles, diggers etc... He loves balloons. He likes those orchard games, the supermarket one being his favourite. And you can go wrong with colouring books (of favourite characters) and felt tip pens.

Can't go wrong with not can go wrong. And yes to play doh like a previous poster said. And yes to character pjs. I'm currently having to wash the same pair over and over because it has dusty crophopper on it.

All what the above posters have said.
My 3 year old also loves Stickers & bubbles!
And chocolate. Always chocolate :)

Hullo all,

We're just going to move this at the request of the OP.

Many thanks everyone, I bought some things you suggested and sent off the parcel today, hopefully they will cheer him up!
Thanks again!
