That's it, really. It's only coming from her scalp so not BO or anything. It's like a sickly sweet smell. If i don't wash her hair for more than 24 hours it becomes quite overpowering, so have to do it every night. Even so, by the time she comes out of school i can smell it again. She's chunky for her age (not fat), just well built, & fairly average in height, if that helps add context. I was worried about diabetes, esp as she's had some dizzy spells,.but having googled, it sounds as though she would be losing weight, & the smell would be on her breath rqther than in her hair. Other than that, she's generally well, if temperamental. Any ideas?

I'll keep bumping then! Someone, somewhere must have experience of this. Dd can't be the first - can she?

Have you googled smelly hair syndrome or maybe it's smelly scalp syndrome. I think I read about it in my Mother's Daily Mail once (the shame).
