advice on scratch to baby's nose

Hi,
My 10 month old baby scratched her nose with her nail about 4 weeks ago. It was quite a deep scratch and did scab over at first.
But, being a baby she managed to rub the scab off and it left a groove of skin missing down the middle of her nose.
The skin in the groove is still pinky in colour and the groove hasn't filled out month on!
I feel upset for her and wish there was something I could do - I don't want her to have a scar there!
Has anyone else experienced similar and will it heal eventually? Is there anything I can put on it?
Any advice much appreciated - thank you.

Exposure to sunlight will make it worse so always apply sun cream when out. Also try to keep it well moisturised when out of the sun, this should help to reduce scarring.

Thanks for that. I have been applying suncream when we are out. Is there anything I can use to help get rid of the groove and stop it from scarring? Thanks x

Hi there's a silicone gel you can get for healing scars that acts like a filler. But I would seek dr or pharmacist advice before buying/a

Sorry, posted too soon- ...before applying it. And YY to keeping out of the sun. Use highest factor you can and reapply and use sun hat etc. all year round.

Thanks for that. I know it sounds trivial, but I feel so upset and wish I had cut her nails shorter.
Has anyone had a similar experience where the mark has disappeared? Or will it be there forever?
Just looking at her button nose and feel so sad :-(

My dd got quite a bad scratch to the side of her nose when she was about 8 months old. It is now fully healed but has left a noticeable scar Sad. It has faded a lot without me using anything on it
