My 3 month old daughter has been diagnosed with acute congenital ptosis and will be undergoing an operation (brow suspension) within 2 weeks.
I'm very keen to hear of parents experiences both from a medical standpoint and emotional standpoint.
Medical:
Have you children had the operation? Was it successful? What eye lid movement did they have post operation? Has anyones child undergone surgery at an older age whereby the actual lid muscle is shortened?
Emotional:
How has your child coped with ptosis? How has it effected them?
Good or bad I'd love to hear more, I'm also keen to just meet other mums in the same situation and have a natter.
