DD is 5, nearly 6. When we were on holiday she got a couple of bites that went yucky - she ended up with antibiotics and had to have the psot on her finger lanced...

Since then she's had a few spots - on her chin, bottom, side, behind her knee.

They start as a red lump then develop a head. She says they hurt and won't let us touch them.

I'm starting to wonder if she has some low level infection. Should I be worried or is she just going through a spotty phase?

Might be a viral skin infection like molluscum?

I've googled molluscum to see and the spots don't look as if they are the same.

The on that appeared on her bottom does actually look like an insect bite but it has a white head.

I will keep an eye out for any more and head GP wards if it continues.

It sounds like impetigo, it's not unusual to get it after an insect bite, the bacteria just need a wound to enter the skin. It sounds ecactly like dd had it and then we all had it Grin
