ds 7 has said this twice to me in last week.

I previously have taken him drs as he can get a blueish
tone to his lips and gets quite sweaty just running around. he had a ecg and echo all looked good so was discharged. but after him saying this he has me worried again.

do I take him back to gp or was a clear ech and ecg definitive proof he has nothing going on in the heart department. could it just be he gets palpitations when running around?

he plays alot of football and has asthma which doesn't cause him major problems.

Thanks for reading

I'd take him back again.

Holes in the heart can be detected in the womb so it seems unlikely that it would be missed at that age. I'd maybe think he has heartburn though that's unusual in a child surely?

Hopefully someone who knows a bit more what they are talking about will be along soon.

Have you checked where he thinks his heart is first? Check where the pain is. Just because one of mine told me her heart was hurting, and when I checked it was totally the wrong place. Wink

Other thing is when I was growing up I used to get a sharp pain in my ribs after exercise. It was very sharp and when I asked among friends a lot of them had similar, one of them described it as feeling like their lungs had a fold in them and they couldn't breathe deeply.

I would take him back to get checked up, but it may be nothing.

I get a pain around my heart area when I get indigestion. Obviously it goes away with a big burp Blush. Could it be this? I agree about asking where the pain is.
