My 2 week old baby is suffering from a sore tummy every day at least twice a day, to the point that she can't sleep :( she is bottle fed as the breast feeding didn't work... Does anyone have any tips please?

When DD2 had this trouble, I switched to Doctor Brown's bottles. They have a special thing inside which minimizes air in the milk....also, feed her in as upright a position as possible...never lying down...and keep her upright for as long as you can while you wind her aftewards. Don't put her down until you get a burp.....some babies take AGES....does DD always burp when she's fed?

Also when she's very upset and drawing her knees up...carry her lying along your arm...her tummy on your arm, your hand on her chest..it's hard to describe and I'll try and find a pic of it.

here it is...it's called Tiger in the Tree it's very good.

Thank you so much... I've just done her next feed sitting up and got a couple of burps up, her last bit of winding she always falls asleep though, but I try and keep her upright for a while on my chest before I lay her down... I'll defo try the tiger in the tree...

Do you think the reflux SMA will help aswell? We're thinking we'll switch to that from the Comfort one tomorrow when we can get to Sainsburys

Thanks so much for your help :)

It's worth a try re the SMA....I found the worst one for wind was Aptamil...Hipp Organic was excellent....so both my DDs ended up on that. Sometimes it's a case of fiddling about with their brands until you find one that suits...mine tried about three I think...I kept them on it for a few weeks though to be sure...they change SO quickly at this age...and once she's a bit stronger her wind will improve bless her.x
