Inside of lip split open - stitches or not?

Hello

DS, 2.10 had a nasty fall today and tripped up some concrete stairs, his mouth took the full force and he has an open cut on the inside of his lip.
Also the gums above the top teeth are bruised

He is absolutely fine in himself now, other than it hurting but the bleeding has stopped

Just not sure if I should get the cut looked at as its open and quite deep, would it get stitched/glued or say it will just heal naturally ?

Not sure if they can do much with internal injuries to the mouth. DD put her top teeth straight through her bottom lip and they did nothing. Just advised us to keep it clean and as dry as possible on the outside cut.

We offered softer foods for a couple of days but she wasn't that fussed about it. It was the adults that looked in more pain when they winced after seeing it!!

Not sure if the cut is from his teeth or the step?

He has just tried to eat some tea but keeps crying because its hurting (his top teeth not the cut)

Maybe offer him some ice cubes before food to numb it a bit?

DD loved the extra ice lollies she was given.

If he's not too keen on solid foods just let him have yoghurts, smoothies and milky puddings like custard for a day or two.

DD's teeth seemed fine but hey advised us to see a dentist if they looked wobbly or were very sore so maybe you could consider that? Not sure if there is something they can do to if they look like they may fall out?

I made him some pasta in the end and he ate that

He is fast asleep so just been up to investigate, as he won't let me anywhere near it, and felt his teeth and I don't think they're loose.
