Newborn rash

My 3 week old DS has a red spotty/blotchy rash all over his body.

At first I thought it was heat rash but now I'm not so sure as in the last few hours it has spread everywhere even on the palms of his hands. Has no other symptoms though.

I think you should pop to A and E. They take rashes on infants very seriously. No one will think you are wasting anyone's time.
At the very least ring NHS direct and talk to a professional.

Thanks for replying. I've done the tumbler test on him so at least I know it's nit meningitis. I'll ring nhs direct first as I'll need to get DP home from work to go to a&e (an hours drive)
