Post grommet operation

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of a runny nose post grommets op?
My DS (2) had his operation yesterday am and all went well, we were in and out within 4 hours.
Last night he was really unsettled, almost as bad as when he has had severe ear infections and had a streaming nose. We gave him the maximum amount of calpol/ nurofen, but he struggled to settle (am aware this could be due to the actual operation) but when I phoned the ward this morning they didn't know what to think about the runny nose.
He seems fine generally ie no temperature and eating/ drinking normally.
Any advice about his nose?!
Thank you

You are suffering from too much cold, do this, press hard two minutes bellow the nose (upper lip). If not stop then do it again after 15 minutes, then again after 15 minutes, runny nose will be stopped without fail. Use wet tissue or towel to wipe your nose which will help frm burning and soreness.
Get well soon
