Just had a Google and this is apparently a common term for this dental problem!
My dd has a very wobbly tooth. She is 5yo and hasn't lost any baby teeth yet.
This morning i noticed a brand new spanking tooth stick up further back from her wobbly one. Quite a big gap between them. Here's a picture similar to my dd's mouth. www.frankhodgesdds.com/images/faq-tooth.jpg
Anyway, i rushed her to the dentist this afternoon thinking it was an emergency. The nurse at reception told me it's very common and dd has an appointment in a fortnight.
What i want to know is...
Will her adult tooth move forward into its normal position once the wobbly baby tooth eventually falls out?
Will all of her other adult teeth grow in this way?
DD seems very pleased with it and has eaten about 5 apples today to try and make her baby tooth fall out nothing to do with wanting the tooth fairy to visit of course but it's still stuck. I reckon it'll be out tomorrow or the next day though.
Anyway, any experiences of this would be greatly appreciated.
