2 year old with 'acne' on shoulders & upper back

For about a week now DS (2 and a half) has had multiple whiteheads and spots, almost rash like, on his upper back and shoulders. I thought it might be sweat related so have been washing him there every night and thought it would go away as the weather cooled down.
But there's been no improvement. They're not itchy or sore or crusty. I'm worried he's now got a skin infection or flesh eating bug of some kind. I will take him to the doctor in the morning but I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas?

It could be Molluscum Contagipsum which is a skin disorder which is caught...but can be treated You will need to see the GP really...it's very unlikely to be acne.

Thanks for replying. I've had molluscum as an adult and I'm pretty sure it's not that. But I'll stay open minded :)
