Bloodshot Eyes On One Year Old

Over the last couple of weeks DS seems to be getting slightly bloodshot eyes. Some days he is perfectly fine, others it covers half his eye. I can't see any pattern in the things he's in contact with so I wondered if it could be hay fever? He doesn't have any other symptoms. He does rub them a little more than usual when they're red but not excessively.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Might be conjunctivitis, ask your pharmacist for their opinion they will tell you if you need to see a doctor or if there is a over the counter medicine you could buy.

I've been to the doctor today and they have confirmed it is a mild form of hay fever.
