Please help!! My daughter has very bad MC & would love to know where I can buy MolluDab from?? I've tryed Boots but they say they don't stock or sell?? Plz help am at my wits end!! 😢

I asked for this at Boots (haven't tried it yet) and though they didn't have it in stock they said they could order it in.. Maybe ask them to do it.

I ordered mine in at Boots as well as my local pharmacy (currently on 2nd bottle as all 3 dc have it. It does cost £25 a bottle for the tiniest amount you've ever seen!

I looked on the MolluDab website, and it seems that the active ingredient is 5% potassium hydroxide solution. That doesn't sound too complicated (famous last words). Any chance there are other commercial preparations with this stuff in that you could use in place of the expensive potion???

Hi there, my daughter is 5 and she has a severe case of molluscum, just to give you a picture she has around 50 on left eye, 30 on right eye, around 300 on neck, and around 200 around the rest of her body ..... NHS wo t do anything to help you, I've been back and forth my GP at least 15 times since February this year, I also saw 3 different peadiatricians from the biggest hospitals in Wales and they still fobbed me off ! I then took it upon myself to go to a private hospital and pay a fortune in a biopsy, and tests ... And I had a prescription from one of the private doctors .... I tried everywhere, Boots, Lloyds, Superdrug etc ... And nothing ! So I took the private prescription to my local GP surgery, and incredibly they re-printed the prescription onto the NHS version, and I took the new prescription to Lloyds pharmacy and within 4 days I finally have MOLLUDAB ! You have to put it on 2wice a day until spots become red and inflamed ... So I did the first 2 treatments yesterday, and this morning her spots are drying out, so from what I can see it really does work !!!! Just be aware, it is extremely painful, my daughter was in absolute agony when I was putting it on, like as though i was burning them off !!!

Goodness that sounds awful lewimorgan1, your poor little girl. My 3 dc have it in differing severity. One of my DS has it very badly, although thankfully they are all on his body, none on his face. There must be close to 300. My other DS's torso is completely covered and my DD just has a small patch on her bottom. We've been using molludab for about 3 weeks now and on second bottle (as you get such a tiny amount). I think it is working as the spots are scabbing but it is not stopping the spreading of the virus so they are getting more spots but it is taking time for the old ones to scab and heal.
My docs refused to do the prescription so we are currently paying for it, but I am so desperate I would actually pay anything. Mornings and evenings are very stressful with all 3 dc screaming while and after I put it on as it is so painful.
I am being very careful with towels, washing them after every use and not letting them share clothes etc, in the hope it will stop the spread. I am petrified we will give it to friends too which they certainly wouldn't thank me for!

Such a horrible illness but docs just do nothing - does anyone have any other tips? I've also tried tea tree, cider vinegar and propolis not nothing worked.

Hi I am so sorry to hear about your daughter and I really feel for you. I have just started to give my daughter Thuja which is a homeopathic remedy you can buy it straight over the counter and a lot of my friends have had great success with it. One tablet a day 30 minutes before eating and after brushing teeth as the mint in the toothpaste will stop it from working. Also coffee stops it working but I guess most kids don't have coffee ! I also read on an Australian website that baths are a no no when they have MC as it helps to spread it similar to verucaes in swimming pools. Hope this helps and I know that as mums we just want to do the best for our children.

Taylor, homeopathy is just sugar and water. You can use it if you want for the placebo effect, but it won't in itself cure MC.

ragusa I don't think you can possibly make such a sweeping statement about homeopathy. That is YOUR opinion.
My daughter has quite bad MC, I am following doctors advice and leaving it well alone apart from putting antiseptic on the inflamed ones. It does go away in the end on its own. I don't think it's worth putting them through painful treatments for.

Homeopathy is just water. It won't do anything for MC apart from allowing time to heal by itself. You can get angry with me if you want, it won't add a single 'active' molecule to ANY homeopathic 'remedy'.

Since someone reopened this topic: lewimorgan how can you possibly state the NHS did nothing for you when you admit to having seen your GP 15 times and been referred to 3 paediatricians at the best hospitals in Wales? FREE, right?

'baths are a no no' What? For the whole 12-18 months of having MC?

If there are an unusually high number of MC (or warts for that matter), always a good idea to have this checked by the GP. More info on patient.co.uk or NHS Choices.

inspace it's not just my opinion, it is the accepted scientific position and is backed up by innumerable well-conducted research studies. Unlike homeopathy, which is a total swindle.

Hello everybody I wanted to say that I have had brilliant results with using molludab I was a bit shocked at the price of £24 but it is well worth the money I spent!! My daughters molluscum have finally all gone!! I was told that she had molluscum after taking her to the doctors in April this year, I had never heard of this horrid virus, over next few months they spread all down the left side of her body, on her left arm and left leg, the doctors kept saying to leave it and it will go on its own accord, however friends at school kept noticing during pe and my daughter was becoming conscious of it, so after constantly googling to find something to get rid of it, I tired the cider vinegar but didn't notice much happening then came across molludab and after a few weeks they all went very red and angry, (some did actually burst) which we were very careful to wipe then put savlon on to stop it spreading further. I did take her docs and they gave her some antibiotic cream this did reduce the redness and we noticed they were all shrivelling up!!! She has been left with small purple like scars, which look like chicken pox scars but thankfully all the molluscum blisters have all gone!! I can't tell you how happy I am about this, I would recommend buying this product not waiting 18m - 4years for the virus to go itself!!! good luck everybody

When at my mums recently she had Comspeed cold sore patches. Little covers for cold sores to help stop spreading and provide optimum enviorment for healing. I tried them on her mc thinking they might just help stop them spreading as had obvious spreading thigh to thigh. One month on ALL spots have gone.
Put thread on about it when we started trying them to say how much they had improved them.So pleased to get rid of them.

Be careful with the cold sore patches. I tried them on DD after reading about it here and she had a horrific reaction. So now not only does she have the spots they are now surrounded by blistered skin

I wish I had known about molludab when my daughter had molluscum. Hers lasted about 18months and we tried tea tree, silver, msm cream and cider vinegar. 4yr old son now developed on torso and back, about 15 spots. Took a chance with molludab and after only using it for a few days I can already see results. He doesn't complain of any pain, just a bit itchy when it goes on. The biggest spot literally fell off yesterday! I would definitely recommend this product as long as it is used exactly as per instructions. I literally only put the stick onto the spot for a split second, and you need to make sure there are no drops coming off the stick. The tiniest amount really does work. I did pay for it, but if we have any reoccurrences I'll be asking the doc for a prescription!

My daughter had MC. Being in Australia where we were unable to obtain Molludab which from all accounts seems to thankfully clear this socially difficult illness. I came across a company called Visionary Health near Newcastle NSW Australia.

While they did not have Molludab they did have an ointment "Deoxy-D-Glucose" for wart and MC

It worked a treat. After a few days of application they started to redden up. I treated for two weeks though I actually feel that it had already started working within a few days.

My daughter is now clear of MC in a matter of weeks where previously every home/web/try this try that didn't work.

I recommend them wholeheartedly their product.

Does it make them burst or just redden and subside?

DD has some on her genitals, am guessing if it stings then I can't really use it there?

They redden and then dry up. No bursting. My daughter said it did sting a little bit after a few days of application (once they start to redden) it never brought tears where squeezing, pricking, tea tree etc did. These desperate measures only made them worse as well.

Molludab if i remember says that it reddens them at which point you stop applying. I would probably say the same for this as there were some we did that we stopped the moment they reddened and they still disappeared.

Thanks after over 18months we have four left. One on her knee and three on her genitals. The rest have all left horrible purple scars. She is being treated by a homeopath and am hoping it is stopping anymore appearing. My son had over 100 and doesn't have any scars whereas my daughter had maybe 15 but they have all left horrible scars, including one on her face.

Hi. I've been using Molludab on molluscum on my son's face for just over two weeks and can't decide if it is working. They did go inflamed though I don't think they've stayed inflamed for 12 hours. One of them looks worse than ever at the moment. Once they become inflamed do they stay inflamed until they disappear. And do they just fade? or do they scab over and fall off? Or do they just fall off? How long does that take to happen after you stop using the Molludab? TIA.

Hi. My daughter was diagnosed with this horrid virus recently and also been told there was no treatment available. I dis covered molludab online as DD has a large cluster on her cheek and it's just been getting bigger and bigger. Anyway, I stopped treatment two weeks ago and I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Some days the spots seem inflamed. Other days not. They're not getting smaller. Qu3stion, Do they burst, dry up or drop off?! What happened for you in the end? Trying very hard to be patient but this thing has been bugging us for six months! And also a relief to find others going through the same x
