DS 2.7, crusty eyes in morning only...how to treat?

This week DS has been waking up with crusty eyes, in eye lashes mainly. We wipe it out and it doesn't come back all day. They don't look red or irritable, he's not rubbing.

Is this conjunctivitis? How to treat? Or just to leave?

It could be conjunctivitis or it could be an allergy to pollen. The current recommendation is not to give antibiotic drops. I would wipe it with cool boiled water, use a new piece of cotton wool for each wipe - you will probably find it clears up in a week or so.
