Should I be pushing GP / hospital a bit more?

just wondering: my daughter's (8yrs) leg was placed in a cast last wednesday at local a&e after 4+weeks of hobbling around after a fall.

It's a long story but essentially we'd been to our gp twice and had another phone consultation before she said that we need to get an xray done to rule out the fracture.

she's due to be seen by the fracture clinic next - my understanding from a&e was that this initial cast-stage needs to be followed up within a week? but they were unable to get an appointment until next monday (22nd).

i've called to try and get the appointment brought forward but haven't had success. I spoke to our GP on Monday after she had also contacted the hospital - again without success. She also said that she'd spoken to a registrar and reviewed the initial xray over the phone; and concluded it can wait til Monday. Also they seem to think it may not be a fracture...?!!

I'm wondering if my daughter is being fobbed off because the hospital is too busy. I've tried another local hospital but they won't see her because she's already been seen by this hospital hmm Given it's taken us this long to get here...

wondering if I should do something else, and what if anything.

Tbh if they're not concerned I wouldn't be too worried. Its not like its all that long to wait.
