White bumps on skin

DD (3 yo) gets these on her arms and face after being in the sun. They look almost like hives, but don't go up and down in the same way (can last a good couple of days, after which they just disappear without trace). Any ideas?
Many thanks for reading.

Heat rash? Try a 50 factor suncream, see if it makes a difference. The lanolin free ones are better as if your sun sensitive the lanolin can agrivate it.

Thanks for your reply Mhysa. I did think about heat rash, but read that that would be more likely to look like small red spots rather than larger white bumps. Yes, maybe I should see whether a bit of suncream helps - I generally don't use it (just make sure they're not out in very strong sun for too long at a time), but might be worth a try.
Thanks again.
