My 9m has had a runny nose for three days. No temperature and up to now a clear discharge from the nose. Today discharge is yellow yet still no temp. Is it time to see a doctor?

It sounds very much like a cold, they can last ages. If they are well otherwise and the snot isn't stinky (that can mean they stuck a pea up there) I wouldn't be going to a GP TBH.

Ok thanks. was worried that yellow meant an infection

It is a sign of infection. It's just the white cells fighting off the virus causing the mucus to go yellow and green. So you are right but there's still nothing to worry about or to get treatment for unless your baby starts coughing excessively, feverish, breathing difficulties etc.
