My 3 year old hasn't had a drink since yesterday evening at 10.30 and hasn't had a wee either since 8 this morning, when should I ring the doctors for a reassessment? We have already been this morning n seen a really rubbish locum doctor who told us we need to get a urine sample before they can do anything, easier said than done. Offered juice, water even fizzy drinks to get something in her also tried the syringe but failed miserably she also won't have ice lolly or a cup of tea all of which she normally loves

Yes I would definitely ring the doctor. Children can get dehydrated very quickly. Does she have a tummy bug?

Doogle2 · 21/06/2013 16:23

Has she eaten? Just thinking it could be a sore throat.
What about trying an ice lolly to tempt her?
If you can't get a same I would ring the doctor and explain your concerns. Hope you get it sorted soon Thanks

Thanks for the replies, in waiting on a visit from the community nurses to come and check in, doctor said maybe hospital for fluids if no better.

I hope she feels better soon. My dd went in a couple of months ago because she couldn't keep any fluids down.

Definitely try ice lollies if she'll take one.
Good luck.
