P20 SUN CREAM

Just wondering whether it is UVB as well as UVA - circles only UVA on box but UVB is printed but not circled next to it. The five star thing only has UVA in it. Confusing!
Any good for children or to chemically?

you are made of chemicals.

Once-a-day suncream is better than nothing, but not really trustworthy. P20 is also expensive and stains things.

Seemed to block DS's skin a d made his ezcema horrendously inflamed. It's not as great as some people believe.

Hmmmm
Think I will take it back!

We've used it on both kids for years with no problems, at home and in Spain in high summer. We are all fair skinned. It smells a bit like alcohol when you pour it out but that disappears quickly. The new spray bottles are better, and the new formula doesn't stain like the old one, but I think most sunscreens do stain, not just P20. It's light and easy to apply, doesn't feel like you are trying to apply clotted cream and spending ages rubbing it on. As a family we love it, and as DS is allergic to the Nivea ones (came out with a raging red face after we applied it, oops) we stick to P20 and everyone is happy.

Still think Aveeno dry spray factor 85 waterproof sun protection is best thing on the market (well from the Internet).

Best sun cream I've ever used is Ultrasun, it's not greasy, is a once a day formulation and is just fab.

Only down side is it's not cheap!

valiumredhead · 16/06/2013 20:47

I use it as does my very fair ds, best thing we have ever discovered.

Abra1d · 16/06/2013 20:51

P20 is not supposed to be as good at blocking UVA rays--is only 3-star, rather than 5-star. Is that why Boots stopped stocking it a while back?

valiumredhead · 17/06/2013 07:57

Boots still stock it.

Ultrasun once a day is the best I've found as it smells / stains less than P20. P20 used to make DS's skin irritable when we applied it.

Plus Ultrasun has a much larger factor range / family & sensitive which stopped my prickly heat.

Ordering Ultrasun
Sounds great

Is it true, do you think, that sun creams only last for a year once opened. Can't remember where I heard it.
