Ds complaining of itchy bottom ?!

My ds age 5 keeps complaining his bottom is itchy it looks a little red but just wondering if anyone had any ideas what could've causing it .

Worms? Might be worth a trip to the GP to check or you could get some worm treatment from the pharmacy and see if it clears up

If it is worms, everyone in the house will need to be treated. The pharmacist will explain about it. All bedding etc will need to be washed.
I dont think worms would make it red unless he has been scratching it. Make sure DS is washing his hands thoroughly especially after going to the toilet and eating food. that I know so much about worms.
It might not be that, his underwear might have irritated his bottom or something
