Forehead bump still there after 2 years? What is it?

My 9 year old fell off a water slide when he was 7 whilst we were on holiday! He had a big egg on his forehead and had two black eyes! But two years on he has this crater in his forehead where the bump was that has not gone away!? I have been to see so many doctors and hospitals who have done X-rays on his forehead but they all said it is fine!!! I have asked what's happened and they have suggested that the area surrounding the bump is swollen. I don't understand why it has not gone away by now and my son is becoming conscious of it when he looks in the mirror!
Does anyone know what it is and why? Will he have this for life? I'm so worried? Thanks Hayley x

Mu brother has a hole in the back of his head that you can put your finger in! It's just a war wound OP...you've seen the doctor and there's nothing to do about it so you should help DS become less conscious of it by dismissing it more and not drawing attention to it.

Maybe he's picked up on all your stress around it?

My 2.8 yr old has a small but definite lump on on e side of her forehead. She does fall over and has had eggs in that spot in past. It just seems to be a permanent thing now.
I've been wondering about it!
Might ask th HV next time I see her.
