Sore red eyes

What it say's in the title really, little boy 18 months seems to get sore red eyes on sunny days. I was wondering if it could be his suncream?

The other thing I wondered about was hayfever but then wouldn't he have it on non sunny days too? He does have mild eczema.

He will not keep a sun hat on. Any ideas opinions gratefully recieved.

My LG is also 18 months and has the same thing - she has been prescribed antihistimines for hayfever.

My 4.2 has this and diagnosed with allergies, seems under control with anti-hist, eye drops and sun glasses.

No way he'd wear sunglasses. So you don't think it could be the suncream aggrievating him?

So much fro breastfeeding for preventing allergies.

DS's allergies only come on sunny days we on pollen watch for past few weeks. This is first yr he has had them, mild eczema, itchy scalp and dry skin have also made an appearance......I'm riddled with this type so it would have been unusual if he avoided it. I keep him away from cut grass too. Of course it could be sunscreen too why not try and avoid eye area completely once or twice and see....

Does it start to clear up when you bring him inside? If so, it's unlikely to be the suncream.
