Dd 5yo is getting over a virus and her lips are badly chapped she has 3 cracks that keep opening.

It looks awful ive used petroleum jelly on her but it hasnt helped.

Is there anything medicated that I will be able to pick up in chemists?

Shes in a bit of pain with it.

Tia

I suffer badly with cracked and chapped lips, the best things I've found are blistex and lansinoh. Blistex every couple of hours, lansinoh constantly to keep them moist. Clears mine up in a couple of days. I feel for her, it's horrible Sad

Blistex seconded here. Could try a baby toothbrush and gentle brush of lips with vaseline on them daily sounds mental but works

Got the blistex, soaks in better than petroleum jelly so hopefully does the trick.

Thanks again

Lansinoh here. It's brilliant, better than any lip stuff I ever bought. Also they don't tend to lick it off so much as nice tasting lip balms.
