DS and his poo!

Ok, sorry in advance its a poo question.

My ds pretty much all the time always has a soft stool. Not the runs but not a normal poo.
He pretty much always has really long poo -ie it all comes out at once.
Completely different to his brother who is a year older and does what I assume is normal.
They obviously both have the same diet.

He is not in pain, is normal growth etc.
but I do think its not normal and I probably should get it checked out but wondered if you had any ideas.

Also, I have thought in past that he is pretty lazy in toilet stakes, ie won't stop playing a game to go to the toilet. And I regularly see him standing in a 'holding it in' position but the more I think about it that perhaps he is not being lazy that perhaps its coming and he hasn't had time to get to the toilet.
We regularly have poo 'stains/bursts' in his pants.

He is five.

Any ideas???
