He's has a cough and runny nose for nearly 3 months now; is on his 2nd course of antibiotics, has also had a course of steroids and an inhaler over the past few weeks. The cough is worse at night but doesn't worry him except to wake him up. He sleeps much better when propped up.
He is still a very happy engaged little boy but I am getting quite concerned that the cough won't shift and more so that his breathing day and night sounds as if he's an understudy for Darth Vader and isn't getting any better. The DRs have variously diagnosed croup, a clear chest, a crackly chest, a squeaky chest, an infection, nothing......over the past 3 months!!!
Can anyone reassure me that this noise is nothing to worry about and will clear eventually, or make any suggestions to help?
