Has anyone been to Birmingham Children's Hospital recently?

Ds is due to have an operation and I will stay with him. Last time he was there (8/9 years ago) we weren't allowed to plug things like phones in to recharge. Does any one know if that is still the same?

I've seen lots of people plug phones, DVD players, iPads etc in for charging.

I would check with the hospital. DD was in Sheffield children's hospital last summer and I asked if I could charge my phone and I was refused. Apparently every electrical item in the hospital has to be checked before it can be used.

It is a pain because if you are in for a few days how are going to be able to charge your phone?
