Do you think this is worth a doctor's appt?

DD1 has had quite a few nosebleeds recently. She's had a couple of months of nosebleeds before that, but last year she was having them quite frequently too.
Not daily, and somethimes not even weekly, but a few a month. She's just remarked that it's always from the left nostril too. Not something I was aware of.

Is it worth bothering the GP with?

I would. Possible it may be worth cauterising the little bleeder, if they still do that nowadays.

How old?

dd1 is a bit of a nosebleed queen, they go in fits and starts, probably as once you've had one the damaged bit takes a while to heal and it's easy to set off another.

My dsis and grandfather both had a lot of nosebleeds as children but grew out of them, so I wasn't too worried and neither was dd1 when I told her this.

We didn't make a special trip to doctor but did mention it at an appointment about something else. She took history but when she heard about family tendency said not to worry. So we haven't.

She's 12.

I believe this is common just as girls are about to get their period. We had the same, a good friend, a PE teacher said that's what it'll be --- and two months later her periods started.

That's interesting. She has started hers, just last month.

Will just keep an eye on her as she's had none today, but if she has a few more I'll book her an appt.
