Has anyone's child had urodynamic testing?

DS has ongoing toileting and continence issues (I've posted about it before). We're finally being seen by a consultant who seems to know what she's talking about, she's referred DS to have a urodynamic assessment, where they will put a catheter into his bladder, he'll be under general anaesthetic, then they wake him and look at how his bladder is functioning.

We've got an appt the week before to talk through what will happen but I just wondered if anyone else had had it done and what it was like. I'm assuming he won't need to stay in overnight but they were taking about his admission, does that mean he might have to stay in?

I don't know what it's like for a child. I had it as an adult - no general anaethetic, and it all took places as an outpatient, in a morning.
