3 year old with 20 teeth - teething again??

not sure I'm in the right category, BUT? DS is 3.1 and has had 20 teeth for the last 6 months or so?. for the last month he's been dribbling, prodding in his mouth, and for the last week filling his nappy with vinegary 'teething' poos? capped off yesterday by dose of 'teething' nappy rash too? i've finally had a proper look in his mouth (having been thinking, it'll not be teething cos he's already got 20) and there DOES seem to be some sign of new teeth coming right at the back (feels bumpy and looks a bit white)?. SO all the signs he's ever had of teething, including looking like he's getting teeth, BUT can it be?!?!? anyone else had this experience??

thye dont normally get the first adult molars until around the age of 6. DS was a wee bit early and got them when he was 5. 3 is very young to be getting more teeth.

My dd3 lost her first milk tooth aged 3 so it is possible. One minute it was there, next minute she came in from the garden minus a tooth. No prior wobbling, nothing! We assumed she had knocked it out and took her to the dentist but he assured us it can happen. A few weeks later she lost the next ones and the adult teeth started growing. (Her older siblings didn't start losing their teeth until they were 6!).

However I would add that she cut her milk teeth very early too, so they had been firmly lodged in her mouth for a few years before she started to lose them.

My DD got her first adult molars at three as did two others in her cohort of 9 at nursery so not that uncommon. She has been 'early' with all her teeth arriving/changing.
