Penicillin -first ever dose at bed time?

Dd has been prescribed penicillin for the first time ever this afternoon and has to take it 3 hours after food which means first dose around bedtime

Would you give it and keep her up a bit later to make sure she doesn't react? Or give it in the morning?

I'd give it at bedtime.

I'd keep her up or a bit to watch for reaction. But then I'm allergic so am a bit more careful than most.

You don't say how old she is. I'd give it at bedtime and just keep an eye on her. The sooner the antibiotics can start doing their job the better.

Sorry, she's 9 and has eczema so I always worry she will react to things

I'd give it.

You could always go in and check for rashes once she's asleep - ds got a blistery rash .
