When my now 25 month old was 19 months old he was diagnosed with asthma as he had 5 quite wheezy episodes. We have a blue inhaler for as and when and if it doesn't seem to be working we start the brown until he's better then wean off over a week, we've had to do this twice in the last 2 months, he now has yet another cold and is starting to wheeze again. In the last two months he has had 2 lots of antibiotics for a chest infection and one lot for a urinary infection. He is always poorly, is this what everyone's 2 year olds are like or should I be doing something more? He also had chicken pox 3 months ago.

For the brown inhaler to be effective it needs to be used all the time. I would go and see the asthma nurse or your GP and get them to review him.

That's what I thought as well, it was my GP who prescribed it though, we've seen different doctors there and they've never commented.
