I hope someone can shed a little light on what is going on with my dd. She is 7.

On Saturday eve she was complaining of a bad stomach pain and then threw up about an hour later. She was only sick once.

She had been to a party so put it down to too much excitement and sugar. She wasn't sick again thought that was that.

All of Sunday she was as white as a sheet and stomach cramps coming about every hour or so.

By the evening seemed better had a bit of tea. Later that evening was sick again. Just once.

So I kept her off school on Monday but by the evening was so much better.

She went into school happy, but received a phone call saying she was in pain, not eaten her lunch and feeling sick.

Got her home and she seemed to brighten up, but saying she was feeling very tired and had a sore tum.

Kept her home today. She had a slice of toast for breakfast and seemed ok. But the stomach cramps returned about an hour after she had some lunch (plain chicken wrap, yogurt, raisins and a choc roll) she did not eat it all. Cramps lasted for about an hour and now she seems OK again.

She is pale and looks very tired. She has lazed on the sofa most of the day, but now playing a bit of mine craft.

Should I take her to the docs tomorrow or see how she goes. She is not one to complain, so I am sure she is genuinely feeling off colour. I said to her that she should go to school tomorrow and see how she goes. She seems happy enough with it.

I have asked her lots of times if anything is wrong, but she swears to me there is nothing up. Her attendance is good.

I am at a loss. I think it's viral, but I would have expected her to be back to normal by now.

Sounds like a normal virus to me tbh. Think you sent her back too early on Tuesday anywys, its normally 48 hours after last sickness .

That did cross my mind, but she seemed as bright as a button and happy to go in.

Seems there is a lot of bugs about at the most :(

Roll on spring!

my DD (also 7) is a bit like this when she has mesenteric adenitis - any underlying virus or infection can set it off, and the cramps and/or vomiting generally go once her body has dealt with whatever it's fighting.

Hope your DD feels better soon.
